After Travis Kelce signed on with a reality show and earned a new contract from the Chiefs, does the title of “Most Interesting Man in the NFL” still belong to Rob Gronkowski?

Move over gronk

Rob Gronkowski is arguably the most popular tight-end in the NFL at the moment. Now it may appear Gronk has some competition with Travis Kelce is slowly becoming one of the most popular players in the NFL.

Kelce played in every single game this season including their two post-season appearances. Even though he only racked up 5 touchdowns, Kelce was the most important player on their offense; especially since Jamaal Charles blew up his knee. Kelce’s offensive presence on the field aided quarterback Alex Smith and the Chiefs have decided to show their appreciation with a contract extension.

Dollar, dollar bills y’all

News broke via ESPN that Kelce signed a 5-year, $46 million dollar contract extension that will keep Kelce in Kansas City until 2021; making him one of the highest-paid tight ends of all time. Typically, contract extensions of this magnitude don’t happen until March but the Chiefs apparently didn’t want to wait too long because he was signed at the Pro Bowl.

Chiefs GM John Dorsey released a statement on Kelce’s signing and couldn’t be happier, “He’s a talented football player that has become an important piece to what we do offensively…Travis is a high-character guy and a leader in our locker room.” Those are powerful words about Kelce considering his track record at college in Cincinnati where he sat for a year due to violating team rules but it eems like he pulled a switcharoo.

Under normal circumstances, Kelce’s contract would be the most exciting event for him this season. But now he has his own reality show in the works. Kelce is apparently looking for a lady to share his time with and has agreed to an 8-episode dating show where he will choose from among 50 women.

*50* women! The Bachelor chooses from 28 women and we all know that’s a gong show so 50 women should be a riot.

Catching Kelce is set to premiere later this year on E! Network and let’s just hope he doesn’t have to use all the new contract money on taking 50 chicks out to dinner.
