The NFL season is back in full swing, which also means it’s time to determine the power rankings for each team in the NFL.

Every week, check out these rankings to see if your team has risen or fallen. Since we start the season fresh, it’s a whole new world for every one involved…

(Won-Loss Record and Last Season’s Final Ranking in parentheses)

1.  Seattle Seahawks (0-0) (1) – Win the Super Bowl, start the year at the top.

2.  Denver Broncos (0-0) (2) – They only got better.

3.  New England Patriots (0-0) (5) – If I had to bet everything I owned on one team to make the playoffs, it would be this one.

4.  New Orleans Saints (0-0) (8) – Who dat?

5.  San Francisco 49ers (0-0) (3) – With multiple off field issues, poised for a fall.

6.  Indianapolis Colts (0-0) (6) – No competition in the South.

7.  Chicago Bears (0-0) (17) – Is it finally their year?

8.  Green Bay Packers (0-0) (16) – Not if the Packers get their way.

9.  Arizona Cardinals (0-0) (10) – They’re my pick for overachievers of the year.

10.  San Diego Chargers (0-0) (15) – Can’t catch Denver.

11.  Atlanta Falcons (0-0) (28) – When you’ve got your health, you’ve got everything.

12.  Baltimore Ravens (0-0) (13) – Best of a bad lot?

13.  New York Giants (0-0) (22) – Best of an atrocious lot?

18.  Miami Dolphins (0-0) (14) – Can’t we all just get along?

19.  Kansas City Chiefs (0-0) (9) – Don’t be surprised if Andy Reid finds a way to get these guys back into the playoffs.

20.  Detroit Lions (0-0) (21) – New coach.  Same old stupidity?

21.  Washington RacialSlurs (0-0) (32) – Getting rid of Shanahan was worth 11 spots on the list!

22.  Buffalo Bills (0-0) (24) – Wake me up when they’re Trump’s Bills.

23.  Jacksonville Jaguars (0-0) (29) – Episode IV:  A New Hope.

24.  Cleveland Browns (0-0) (25) – Now taking bets on which Hall of Fame Manziel makes first:  Football or Rock & Roll.

25.  Dallas Cowboys (0-0) (12) – Scary thought, but it might be generous putting them this high.

26.  Houston Texans (0-0) (31) – I need to see it in action before I pronounce last season a fluke.

27.  New York Jets (0-0) (20) – The Jets always find a way to play better than they actually are.

28.  Tennessee Titans (0-0) (23) – This is already a wait ‘til next year team.

29.  Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-0) (27) – So is this.

30.  St. Louis Rams (0-0) (19) – The Sam Bradford era ends not with a bang, but with a whimper.

31.  Minnesota Vikings (0-0) (26) – a.k.a Adrian Peterson and 21 guys who would be backups on other teams.

32.  Oakland Raiders (0-0) (30) – Dennis Allen is the first coach on the hot seat.

Week 1 Thursday Night Pick

Green Bay (+6) @Seattle (Belmont)

You’re crazy to bet against Seattle at home, right?

Well, maybe not.  I certainly like the Seahawks to win this game, but not necessarily in blow-out fashion.  I’m going to take the Pack and the points and figure that Aaron Rodgers can score at least a little bit on any defense, even this one.
