(Won-Loss Record and Last Week’s Ranking in parentheses)

1.  Seattle Seahawks (8-1) (1) – REALLY shouldn’t be that hard to beat the Bucs.  On top but teetering.

2.  Denver Broncos (7-1) (2) – Three of next four with KC and New England #Novemberfootball

3.  Kansas City Chiefs (9-0) (5) – You know Andy Reid’s record coming off a bye, right?

4.  San Francisco 49ers (6-2) (4) – Showdown with Carolina should be game of the week.

T-5.  New Orleans Saints (6-2) (3) – Don’t cry for them Argentina (both their losses are out of conference).

T-5.  Indianapolis Colts (6-2) (6) – Cruising toward the playoffs.

7.  New England Patriots (7-2) (8) – Dayum!

8.  Cincinnati Bengals (6-3) (7) – Baltimore, Cleveland, Clinch.

9.  Detroit Lions (5-3) (10) – The division is suddenly theirs for the taking.

10.  Carolina Panthers (5-3) (14) – Proof time.

11.  Chicago Bears (5-3) (11) – Key injuries will keep them from going any further.

12.  Green Bay Packers (5-3) (9) – Without Aaron Rodgers, this team might not even be average.

13.  Dallas Cowboys (5-4) (15) – Saints will take this defense to the woodshed.

14.  New York Jets (5-4) (17) – Guess what?  If the playoffs started today…uh-huh.

15.  San Diego Chargers (4-4) (12) – 5 of remaining 8 with presumptive playoff teams.  They control their destiny for now.

16.  Arizona Cardinals (4-4) (16) – Schedule says they will play their way into contention before finishing season with divisional powerhouses.

17.  Miami Dolphins (4-4) (17) – Miami’s dysfunctional mess gets even uglier.

18.  Tennessee Titans (4-4) (21) – Looks like old Jakey’s back.

T-19.  Cleveland Browns (4-5) (26) – Someone forgot to tell them they’re not any good.

T-19.  Philadelphia Eagles (4-5) (24) – When all is said done, still the worst pass defense in the NFL.

21.  Baltimore Ravens (3-5) (13) – It’s officially over.

22.  Washington Redskins (3-5) (29) – This team isn’t fighting to overcome a bad start, they’re fighting to overcome a bad team.

23.  Oakland Raiders (3-5) (22) – An aberration or did they just get exposed?

24.  Buffalo Bills (3-6) (23) – Season can still be a success if E.J. Manuel comes back and is good.

25.  Atlanta Falcons (2-6) (19) – Injuries are the great inequalizer.  This team is so undermanned it’s not even fair.

26.  Houston Texans (2-6) (20) – You look at the talent and the yardage stats and you say, “How the hell are these guys 2-6?”

27.  New York Giants (2-6) (27) – Eli still believes.  So do I.  I believe they will finish 5-11.

28.  Pittsburgh Steelers (2-6) (25) – Here’s something fun to watch for.  I’m pretty sure in another week or two, Mike Tomlin is going to spontaneously burst into flames on the sidelines.

29.  St. Louis Rams (3-6) (28) – It won’t be getting any better.

30.  Minnesota Vikings (1-7) (30) – Count them as solidly in the market for a QB in the draft.

31.  Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-8) (31) – And them too.

32.  Jacksonville Jaguars (0-8) (32) – And absolutely, positively them.
