When DeMarco Murray signed a deal with the Philadelphia Eagles, many Cowboys fans were outraged that their star running back would sign with their division rival.
However, it looks like Murray isn’t getting what he had hoped for from Philadelphia and at first, Murray seemed hesitant to talk out against the genius that is Chip Kelly’s Eagles. Now it looks like he doesn’t care so much and has decided to share his displeasure with his new role.
Murray was questioned by a reporter on if he was getting enough carries and Murray responded with a very candid answer surprisingly.
“Do I think I’m touching the ball [enough]? No, I’m not. I don’t think I am. But it’s the plays that are being called. I love this offense. I love playing with these guys. It’s just how it is.”
As a new guy on the team, Murray took a big risk by saying that but managed to save himself by talking about how “great” the team is. However just to compare between now and then, Murray was given 8 carries and rushed for 36 yards this past Sunday. Last year in Dallas during Week 4, Murray was given 24 carries for 149 yards and two touchdowns.
Guess everything really is bigger in Texas. Wouldn’t you agree, DeMarco?
