I’m not in the business of qualifying what is, or isn’t a sport. But one thing I do know, is that the annual tradition of Cheese Rolling that goes on in England is one I never want to participate in.
Though the first video is from 2009, “every year daring competitors throw themselves down a death-defyingly steep hill in Gloucestershire, England, in a bid to win a coveted Double Gloucester cheese”.
Participants admit freely that it’s a stupid idea to be a part of it but the annual event has become a crown favorite with fans flying in from all over the world just to see some people roll down a hill for some cheese.
While I personally wouldn’t participate, I certainly wouldn’t mind having a cold one while watching others make fools out of themselves.
