New England Patriots tight Rob Gronkowski used to remind me of a guy you hook up with on a Spring Break in Panama City Beach that you desperately want to forget ever happened.
But since his declaration that he doesn’t spend any of his NFL contract earnings on random drinking escapades, announcements like Gronk’s Party Ship is making him out to be a smart business man.
In what I’m sure will be the ideal situation to preach the importance of condoms, the public relations company representing Gronk’s three-day booze cruise from Miami to The Bahamas released a video to promote the February 2016 event.
And it’s everything you’d expect and so much more.
For what surely will become one of the greatest people-watching cruises known to man, the event will feature musical acts in Waka Flocka Flame, 3LAU, Sammy Adams and Brooke Evers while hosted by the entire Gronk clan of bro-testosterone.
Somehow, Gronkowski has gotten a lift in his popularity lately. I don’t know why, but then again I don’t really care. Gronkowski is the kind of guy who can do exactly what you expect him to do and it’s still weirdly fascinating.
In a league where characters like Gronk exist, somewhere Russell Wilson and Andrew Luck are wearing matching Hawaiian t-shirts with crocs while trying to out-nice each other.
I think I’m starting to prefer the former.
