Making drinks for a party doesn’t have to be complicated. With a simple set of ingredients, you can make spiked gummy bears and flavored vodkas using Skittles and Jolly Ranchers with enough to share for all.
How to Make Jolly Rancher Vodka
Jolly Rancher flavored vodka is easier to make than it sounds. All you need are a mason jars, a few bags of Jolly Ranchers and your favorite vodka.
After you split up all the colors, put each color in a separate jar and fill the jars with vodka. Let the jars sit out for a few days, shaking the jars a couple times a day.
After a few days, you are ready to rock with flavored vodka that can used to mix in a drink or for the brave, it’s sweet enough to drink straight up without a chaser.
How to Make Vodka Gummy Bears
Vodka Gummy Bears are simple to make but take a few days of sitting to actually form correctly.
After taking a regular bag of gummy bears, put them all in a jar that fills up until about 2/3 of the way full. Pour your choice of vodka over the gummy bears until it just covers all of them.
Put the jar in the fridge and stir with a spoon twice daily for 3-5 days.
After you’ve waited a few days, the gummy bears should be at least triple their size and will be completely edible for all to enjoy.
To serve at parties or tailgates, try to keep them chilled with a stack of toothpicks nearby.
*Optional: If after a few days most of the vodka has been soaked up, try filling the jar halfway with juice such as Hawaiian Punch over-top and continue the stirring to create an even more potent gummy bear that won’t taste like there’s any vodka involved.
How to Make Skittles Vodka
Making Skittles vodka is about the same as Jolly Rancher Vodka. In order to make it, it’s as simple as picking out a bag of your favorite Skittles and adding Vodka.
Be careful in the Skittles you choose to use, you can either separate out the colors of choice or you can pick a tropical bag of Skittles for an overall taste.
After a few days of the Skittles sitting in the jars of vodka, you will notice some leftovers from the Skittles themselves. You can either strain this out or keep in for added affect.
Though, most people prefer to strain out the candy residue as it looks a little funky.
