If you’ve ever crushed on Disney princes growing up, you can now see what they would look like in real life.
Most of us who grew up watching Disney had playful crushes on the princes (raises hand for Aladdin and Eric) but artist Jirka Väätäinen decided to take those beloved characters and turn them into real life portraits with his illustration talents.
Väätäinen has been an illustrator for quite some time with his first run at internet fame years back when he created illustrations of what Disney princesses would look like in real life.
In an interview with the Huffington Post he explained why he turned his attention to the men:
“I just randomly thought I’d challenge myself and have a little fun in Photoshop to explore what the character of Ursula from ‘The Little Mermaid’ could look like in real life,” Väätäinen said. “Having grown up with a lot of these characters, the sense of nostalgia made it such a fascinating and a fun personal project to explore and carry on with. I have always been interested in character design,” he said, “as well as the way people look and what makes them unique in their appearance.”
Check out his creations below and fair warning, Prince Eric might make you faint:
