During Samuel L. Jackson’s Robocop press tour, a KTLA reporter asked him about his Super Bowl commercial. Which was a slight problem, since Jackson wasn’t in a Super Bowl commercial this year.
But Laurence Fishburne was.

Jackson immediately asked Sam Rubin, the reporter, “What Super Bowl commercial?” To which Rubin looked off camera for a second, realized his screw up, then tried to own up to his mistake. But Jackson wasn’t about to let him off easy…
“You’re as crazy as the people on Twitter. I’m not Laurence Fishburne!” Jackson said. “We don’t all look a like. We may be all black and famous, but we all don’t look alike. You’re busted.”
(Keep in mind, this interview was televised live.)
“Oh hell no…” Jackson continued. ”There’s more than one black guy doing commercials. I’m the ‘What’s in your wallet?’ black guy. [Fishburne’s] the car black guy. Morgan Freeman is the other credit card black guy. You only hear his voice though, so you probably won’t confuse him with Laurence Fishburne.”
“You’re the entertainment reporter for this station and you don’t know the difference between me and Laurence Fishburne? That must be a very short line for your job outside there.”
A short line indeed, Mr. Jackson.
