Whenever a beloved player leaves for what’s presumed to be greener pastures, (cough:: Ellsbury), fans carry a certain amount of dislike for said player.
Giving the side-eye to highlights of the player in their new uniform and booing them from afar is easy.
But when Jimmy Fallon invited New Yorkers to boo Robinson Cano, who left in the offseason for a big payday on behalf of the Seattle Mariners, they proudly booed a giant picture of Cano.
After they finished up booing a giant picture, the real Cano stepped from behind the picture to face the shocked look on the fans’ faces. And the results are fantastic.
