PUMA recently announced its new partnership with pop sensation Rihanna, aka “Bad gal Ri Ri.” The deal includes naming Rihanna as the creative director of the brand’s women’s business.
Beginning this year, Rihanna will implement her edgy, one of a kind style to help PUMA design a new women’s training collection, and also create custom styles using PUMA’s classic look.
According to a press release, “Fans can anticipate PUMA and Rihanna taking a fresh, forward thinking and non-traditional approach to sports, fitness and lifestyle – fusing Rihanna’s personality, love of sports, spirit and style into the growing footwear and apparel segment. No stranger to breaking the mold with beauty, fashion and lifestyle trends, Rihanna, with PUMA’s support, will bring her personal touch and creativity to the athletic world.”
But that’s not all. Ri Ri will also be the star and model of the women’s training category, and will be featured in the company’s newly debuted Forever Faster campaign. Rihanna said: “It’s great to find a brand that celebrates strength and individuality. I couldn’t think of a more perfect partner to collaborate with as a creative director. I’m excited for you to see what Puma and I come up with.”

Rihanna has a HUGE fan base and PUMA is still one of the top selling sportswear brands, so I’m sure the collaboration between the two will go over well. And I love PUMA’s shoes- comfort without that boring sneaker look.
