Back in 2010, Jack Nicklaus was opening his newly designed golf course called The Golf Club at Harbor Shores in Benton, MI.
Nicklaus along with Johnny Miller, Tom Watson and Arnold Palmer were playing a ceremonial round when Miller questioned a chip shot on the 10th hole that was more than 100-ft away. Not wanting Miller to add a divot to his new course, Nicklaus said, “You want me to show you how to putt it?”
Miller welcomed the idea and without missing a beat, Nicklaus walked over and hit a 102-ft putt without taking a practice swing.
After it went in, he walked away as if he knew it was going in the whole time.
It remains one of best golf shots ever caught on film. And that’s why Nicklaus is the greatest golfer to ever walk this planet.
