Well, that was…..wow……..
Bellator is a circus. Bellator 149 was one of the more entertaining yet worst thing I have ever seen. This free card was headlined by Kimbo Slice vs Dada 5000 and Ken Shamrock vs Royce Gracie.
If you read those names and know anything about MMA, a few things will come to mind.
First, Dada 5000 (cue internal laughter) is not an MMA fighter. It was painfully obvious when Dada debuted his skills during pre-fight media workouts. It was quickly said by various media members that Dada may need to find a new line of work.
Second: Frank Shamrock vs Royce Gracie are close to retirement age. Seriously. Check Shamrock’s FightFinder page. Done? Now check Gracie’s page. Did you notice that Gracie last fought in 2007?
Kimbo Slice vs. dada 5000???
I cannot stress to you enough how bad Dada 5000 is at the fighting. He might be the worst fighter I have seen.

So fast forward to the fight. After the first Kimbo takedown, he just seemed fall over on top of Dada from exhaustion.Once he got things to the ground, it was clear he never brought in a legitimate Jiu-Jitsu coach because he looked lost. John McCarthy’s (the ref) face was priceless. McCarthy called for seven restarts, which is a great testament to the complete lack of MMA skills.
Both fighters were sucking wind by the beginning of the second round, which makes me question their training methods heading into the fight. Did they know what a treadmill looked like?
To make matters worse, Dada was hospitalized after the fight due to extreme dehydration and ‘renal failure’, likely due to him dropping 40lbs in 3 weeks just to make the 265lbs weight limit. Hopefully, he will realize that MMA is not for him.
But in the meantime, let us enjoy this trainwreck:

He got knocked out without a punch connecting. This was the worst fight in MMA history. I wish this were an exaggeration.

This might be the worst fight I've ever seen

Shamrock vs. Gracie???
Ken Shamrock is 51 years old. Royce Gracie is 49. You tell me why they are STILL fighting. I’ll just let these tweets tell the story.
Both of these men are legit f*cking pioneers. Would be nice if the sport honored them in such a way that they didn't HAVE to fight.

How the hell do you have a delayed reaction after being hit in the nutts? Then get mad and say " he meant to do it" lmao

Yes, these were actual MMA fights on live Television. Unfortunately, these 2 fights have done irreversible damage to my love for the sport. What else is new with Bellator.
My advice to all of you: Stick to the UFC.
