As Star Wars: The Force Awakens release date draws near, we’re seeing more and more information start to leak out about one of the most anticipated films of all time. Despite more imagery being released, most fans are still clueless as to the actual plot line of the movie. So when a new Star Wars trailer drops in Japan with previously unseen footage, fans start to lose their minds.

Let’s loose our minds together as we watch the Japanese Star Wars trailer with some scenes we haven’t seen before:

Some of my biggest takeaways:

  • The quote: “Hope is not lost today. It is found.” Could this be referring to Rey’s importance on the franchise?
  • Kylo Ren’s lightsaber doesn’t seem to work as fluid as other lightsabers seen in the past. And Rey looks scared as shit of him.
  • Rey asks BB8 of his origin. As one redditor pointed out, he could be the lovechild of the Death Star and R2D2. Kidding. Kind of.
  • I still get goosebumps when I hear bae Harrison Ford’s voice saying “It’s true. All of it.”
  • Those X-Wing and Tie Fighters tho.

In the past couple weeks alone, we’ve seen fan theories on Jar Jar Binks as a Sith Lord and Rey and Ren as the Solo twins (warning: possible spoilers in those links). But we’ve also seen the official posters come out and director J.J. Abrams granting the wish of a dying fan. As the release date draws closer and closer, the speculation will continue to rise and the fan reaction to this new Japanese trailer is further proof.
