The early 90s were a heady time: the Berlin Wall had fallen, the Cold War had ended, and America was the world’s sole remaining superpower. However, two things from that time stood above all else:
The Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtles and Vanilla Ice.
If you grew up in the 80s or early 90s, then you undoubtedly were aware of those two entities, and it didn’t get any better than when the Ice Man and the Heroes of the Half-Shell collaborated for one the greatest entertainment events of all time: performing “Ninja Rap” in the climactic scene of Turtles II: Secret of the Ooze.
Well, to paraphrase a line from one of his other hits, Ice is back albeit not with a new invention. Rather, he brought back Ninja Rap for this nostalgic and funny Kraft Macaroni & Cheese ad.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to head down to the grocery store.
