(Won-Loss Record and Last Week’s Ranking in parentheses)

1.  Seattle Seahawks (11-1) (1) – Number 1, and really there is no number 2.

2.  Denver Broncos (10-2) (3) – They feel Belichick’s hot breath on their necks.  That’s gotta be super creepy, you know?

T-3.  New Orleans Saints (9-3) (2) – Showdown for the South begins this week.

T-3.  Carolina Panthers (9-3) (4) – They’ve looked dominating.  But are they ready to go into New Orleans and win?

5.  New England Patriots (9-3) (5) – Everyone assumes they’ll win out, but they’ve still got Miami and Baltimore coming up.

6.  San Francisco 49ers (8-4) (6) – Poised to be the most ferocious #6 seed in the history of the NFL playoffs.

7.  Cincinnati Bengals (8-4) (9) – Three of last four at home bodes well for undefeated Bengals.

8.  Indianapolis Colts (8-4) (9) – We get it.  They miss Reggie Wayne.

9.  Kansas City Chiefs (9-3) (7) – 103 points allowed in last three games.  What happened to that defense?

10.  Dallas Cowboys (7-5) (11) – Another December swoon?  That would be a shame.

11.  Philadelphia Eagles (7-5) (12) – No more home jinx.

T-12.  Arizona Cardinals (7-5) (8) – The Cardinals always find a way…to f**k up.

T-12.  Detroit Lions (7-5) (13) – And so do the Lions.  Watch them blow this somehow.

14.  Baltimore Ravens (6-6) (17) – Inside track on the playoffs, but it’s a tough road.

15.  Miami Dolphins (6-6) (19) – This week @Pittsburgh is crucial to their chances.

16.  Chicago Bears (6-6) (14) – Jay Cutler’s back?  Who gives a shit.  Is he gonna play run defense?

17.  Green Bay Packers (5-6-1) (15) – I think they’re gonna need more than Aaron Rodgers to get good again.

18.  Pittsburgh Steelers (5-7) (17) – Of the teetering 5-7s, they have the best chance.

19.  San Diego Chargers (5-7) (16) – Have lost four of last five.  Headed in the wrong direction.

20.  New York Giants (5-7) (22) – They’ve won five of last six, but too little, too late.

21.  New York Jets (5-7) (20) – This is how bad you THOUGHT the Jets would be.

22.  Tennessee Titans (5-7) (21) – They have some stuff they can build around.

23.  St. Louis Rams (5-7) (23) – Will have two choice picks coming up in the draft.

24.  Cleveland Browns (4-8) (24) – When you have three quarterbacks get hurt, it’s not your fault.

25.  Buffalo Bills (4-8) (25) – Just keep getting E.J. Manuel reps and experience for the future.

26.  Oakland Raiders (4-8) (26) – Could lose the rest.

27.  Minnesota Vikings (3-8-1) (28) – What could they do with a legit QB?

28.  Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-9) (27) – OK, did you really think they were gonna beat Carolina?

29.  Atlanta Falcons (3-9) (30) – Just getting Roddy White back was a help.

30.  Jacksonville Jaguars (3-9) (31) – Seemingly determined to destroy their draft position.

31.  Washington Redskins (3-9) (29) – No more excuses.  This team SUCKS.

32.  Houston Texans (2-10) (32) – Case Keenum is not the answer.  They should lose out and grab their franchise QB.
