Leggings that look like jeans are cute, cheap and quite versatile
Perhaps you heard of them or even seen them worn by women all over the place. A type of new clothing that have really taken off in the past year are Jeggings.
Its probably safe to say that most of you are familiar with the type of material used for normal leggings. If not, leggings are usually made of a spandex/nylon material that is about as thick as good pair of tights. Recently, manufacturers has been playing around with similar material to create a “jean” look, hence the name Jeggings.
Unlike regular jeans though, its not entirely appropriate to wear the skin tight Jeggins the same way you would normal jeans. This is especially true for my fellow curvy girls.
So the questions arise, how do you wear these Jeggings and what looks good with them? It could be a little intimidating to think of what to wear with skin-tight “jeans” but turns out you actually have many options and jeggings could become a new staple in your closet.

Before you run off to the store to purchase a pair of Jeggings, there are some tips you should follow and a few good ones come from Styletips 101
“First off, make sure jeggings suit your body type. If you don’t feel comfortable in them, don’t wear them – no one’s going to shun you for it!! Second, pick a dark pair that will go with everything from a basic tank to a sweater dress. Also, black slims you down so that’s always a plus. If you’re on the short side, you may want to get a petite pair as a regular pair of jeggings might run a little too long, and there’s nothing worse than 2 feet of bunched up jeans at the bottom.”
Though the girls pictured above have teeny-tiny bodies and are able to tuck their shirts into the jeggings but let’s face it, 95% of America isn’t going to be able to do that. So what’s a girl to do?
My favorite way to rock these is with a loose sweater/tanktop that covers at least 60% of your butt, a good pair of heels or nice ballet flats paired with a big purse is a classy way of wearing jeggings. Another hot option is to pair a blazer, heels and a long shimmery tank with your jeggings.
Jeggings are also be a good resource (and my personal go-to) for sporting events. Pair them with a sports jersey or a cute gameday hoody with a pair of comfy boots and you can look cute without sporting the cliche’ pink jerseys. And as an added benefit, jeggings can be your perfect pair of jeans that both flatters and is comfortable for the long hours at a game.
Jeggings can range anywhere from $10+ in price and are available at a variety of retailers like Target and Forever 21. Look for them around the same area as the regular leggings as Jeggings most likely will not be around the “real” jeans.

Much to my dissapproval, I know that some of these younger highschool guys are now wearing skinny jeans. As a PSA, PLEASE DON’T START WEARING JEGGINGS. And while I’m on the subject, STOP WEARING SKINNY JEANS.
