No NFL fan has it worse than those who follow the Cleveland Browns. The city has had an official team since 1946, joined the NFL in 1950, witnessed their beloved team leave in the middle of the night for Baltimore in 1995 only to get their team back 1999.
Since 1999, the team has only had two winning seasons, over 7 head coaching changes and has yet to make the playoffs.
Makes being a Jaguars fan seem like a breeze, right?
Since 1999, every single first round draft pick has either been a bust or been traded away. That truth once again became a reality when the Browns traded away 2012 3rd pick overall, Trent Richardson, to the Colts for a first round pick in the 2014 draft.
While some Browns fans say it’s good for the organization because they can dominate the 2014 draft, many fans are just tired of waiting for a championship or even a chance to compete. The running back position is the easiest position to replace on the football field but losing one of the faces of your franchise is never easy.
With the white flag raised in week 3 of the 2013 season, it makes this fan’s jersey listing starters, that should have been the face of the franchise since 1999, incredibly more depressing, even for non-Cleveland fans.
