"Now THAT'S a Guys Girl" is a series based on women who passionately bring sports and gaming into our world"

olivia munnOlivia Munn is a popular host on the video game network called G4. Along with being incredibly gorgeous, turns out Olivia is quite the geek. And I mean that in a good way.

At 25 years old, when Munn's not hosting a gaming tv show or dressing up as famous video game/comic characters, she is at home in San Diego practicing her surfing skills, creating her own magazine and even has her own website filled with her adventures that include editing/shooting videos while writing all of her very own articles.

In an interview with G4 tv Olivia described her childhood as "I was born Oklahoma, raised in Japan, and I’ve always done theater, since I was really little. I begged my mother with everything I had in my body to come out to California, and she let me.

olivia munn wonder womanLast fall I shot my first TV show, a re-occuring character on this new show where I play a 16 year old surfer. She’s called a “Titta” in Hawaiian. Titta means “tough chick” in Hawaiian, so I play a tough chick. I shot that, and I’m about to shoot a movie with Rob Schneider. I booked role in his new movie! It’s called Big Stan, and I play his receptionist, and he’s a sleazy real estate agent.

I had lots of commercial work and print work. Basically, I’m living the life of an actress in L.A. And I’ve recently had some pretty good fortune."

Olivia landed the gig of co hosting  Attack of the Show! in 2006  with Kevin Pereira. G4 is a network, devoted to the world of video games and the video game lifestyle. The network was at first hesitant to hire Munn but we all know how that worked out.

Olivia will admit video games were her "weak point," but she was confident in her technical knowledge. While working on Attack of the Show!, Munn hosted Formula D, a now defunct program about American drift racing, and an online podcast called Around the Net (formerly known as The Daily Nut), for G4.

During another interview, Olivia was asked how she ended up on AOTS: "I auditioned first for AOTS, and then for Formula D, then I did a screen test on set with Kevin for AOTS... we basically did an audition of what you see at the beginning of every show. I was in Hawaii shooting when my agent called and told me I got the job. to be honest, I couldn't remember what the job was because it had been at least a month since my last audition for G4.... I called my brother and cousins right away to see what they thought of G4 and their response? "Oohmmygodthatissocoolilovethatchannelicantbelieveyouredoingthatdoigettogotoe3?!" so I took the job and I am so thankful everyday that I did."

Olivia has even done some work in the sports industry as a sideline reporter for Fox Sports and admitted being uncomfortable with the "seriousness" of the position. Being able to act like herself is clearly working in favor for Olivia on AOTS and her skyrocketing popularity has even lead to a movie roll in the upcoming Iron Man 2.

Everyone enjoys dressing up and some argue that cosplay is the best part of video game conferences. For 2009's Comic Con, Olivia dressed up as various different legendary characters such as Laura Croft, Wonder Woman and the fan favorite Emma Frost.
