Boba Fett meets with Vader; And an unlikely new hero does something that Anakin never could; Shun the dark side
Since the new trailer for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2 was debuted at E3, fans have been craving more information the back story of the unlikely new hero, Starkiller.
In the Force Unleashed 2, Starkiller is the secret apprentice to Darth Vader but when Darth Vader has no need for him any longer, he is ordered to be killed.
In the game, Starkiller's mental state is comparable to Anakin Skywalker before he fully committed to the dark side. After being betrayed, he sort of comes to a "self awakening" and realizes he's better than what he has been doing and decides to "make things right" by killing an entire fleet of enemies using his superb lightsaber skills. Works for me!
What's best about Starkiller is the re-imagined use of the force. Instead of merely moving objects with this hands, he can literally crush any time of machinery and throw it into a building or power up the force to take out any nearby enemies.

Another surprise from Comic-Con is another new trailer featuring Boba Fett speaking with Vader persumabaly after Starkiller destroys the entire building. Boba Fett makes a prediction that "if we get the girl, he will follow". Could this trailer signify Boba having more of a significant role than previously thought? God, let's hope so.

Number one the game looks great, but I cannot for the life of me understand why these ideas weren't pitched for a feature film.

Between this trailer and the other trailer for The Old Republic, Lucas seriously needs to look into making more mini movies or even purely CGI online films. I would be the first one to watch.
Maybe, maybe not. The probably with the prequels was the cynicism that animated the production. Different contradictory elements were slammed together to appeal to audience demographics at the expense of the story. The first thing I felt when watching the first video was, "damn, I'd see this flick." Not I'd play that game, and I would and I will. But what a great setup for a story. A protagonist with remarkable power, who is marked for death when his usefulness is at its end, but escapes a sticky end and finds redemption by launching a rebellion against his master. That's great set up. Immediately you have a character with whom audiences can identify. You have a logical structure for growth and development of the character. The allusions to classical story themes are present as tales of redemption where an individual goes from seeking to nurture what once was the enemy is universal, in particular it parallels the transformation of the apostle Paul from Christian hunter Saul to the most profound expositor of the theology. That cultural touchstone will create a greater sense of resonance in audiences. It's a truly fantastic idea.
And picture the trailer:
Narrator: He was just following orders Vader: You will hunt down the remaining Jedi and exterminate them. Starkiller: Yes, my Master. *Wicked special effect of him lumping six droids together and slamming them into a Jedi Knight.* Narrator: But he didn't realize what success meant. Vader: Now that you have completed your mission, I have no further use for you. Kill him. *Escape sequence* Narrator: The most powerful Jedi ever, betrayed by his mentor, sets out on a new path and discover the true power of...The Force Unleashed.
Do that as a thirty second teaser, with lots of effects that pop, $60 million opening weekend easy.
Doh! Me fail English in the first sentence. The probably was supposed to be problem. Stupid predictive text features...

If George Lucas can put that god awful cartoon on tv, he could produce a mini movie/tv series and make insane amounts of money off the commercial ads. Based on the sheer number of views each one of these trailers receives, its still an untapped market for a franchise that markets anything and everything. I predict within two, maybe three years max and will see something along those lines.
