http://blstb.msn.com/i/F3/C73ACD6EFB394691AFF9B46A7D61.jpgShopping for a swim suit can be the most frustrating part of the Summer. You have to try on dozens of suits in a small dressing room with horrible lights and mirrors. Nothing seems to fit well and worst of all you start to feel some self-hate towards your body.

Is it cruel? Sure, we're girls and unfortunately we have been taught all our lives that looking good matters. But shopping for a bathing suit doesn't have to be that hard if you know what type of body you have.

No swimsuit is one size fits all but the following videos will help you zero in on the suit that best fits your shape whether you are a pear, apple, hourglass, boyish or inverted triangle.

Simply put: Sexy equals comfort and comfort equals fit. You can't have confidence without the right swimsuit on.

Make it a Girl's Night Out: Sex and The City Returns
Written by Blythe Brumleve

For fans of Sex of the City, Thursday May 27th is a day you have been looking forward to since you saw the first movie.

Even if never paid attention to the tv show while it was airing, you can still gather the premise of the show centering around 4 ladies that continue to stay best friends throughout life changes like marriage, cancer and babies. Oh my!

In the new movie, Charlotte struggles with raising 2 kids, Carrie has settled into married life and becoming bored, Samantha is rumored to get married and Miranda is still.....well sort of boring.

Shoes, clothes, cocktails, men center around New York City and a trip to the Emirate in the Middle East. While most reviews are tearing up SATC2, its important to note that the series and movies have, and will always be, fan driven.

Girls have screamed for a positive representation of friends in a modern world. While its true that some girls (and guys) are vicious, when a strong bond is formed between two or more girls, it really is the rock in their lives.

Because when it comes down to it, men are idiots and you need that supportive person to fall back on and really listen to you bitch until you cry your eyes out. Might not be easy for men to understand, but that's why they say women live longer is because we are able to communicate our emotions. Go ahead, google my authority if you wish.

So grab your girlfriends, have some drinks and check out what makes life go round: its the little things people!

The Effect of Disney World on Girls Young & Old

For thousands of years, the female population has had a love affair with the common storybook  "girl with good morals perseveres through life troubles to nab her fairy tale prince".  And no one can better interpret that fantasy than Walt Disney.

For dozens of years, Disney has been worshiped for their ability to capture essence of imagination while continually adapting their merchandise, theme parks and entertainment to the child within us all.

For the past couple weeks, I had the unique opportunity to share in this "imagination stranglehold" that Disney seems to have (esp on girls) at the Magic Kingdom, aka Walt Disney's mecca.

I spent a day with two all-girl groups: one group entitled myself and 6 other mid-20ish friends  and the other group involved me chaperoning 6 kids. Sometimes the generational gap was extremely evident and at other times was similar in every way. Some were funny, make you "awww" moments and other situations made you wanna punch someone out.

Could You Go On Live TV Without Makeup?

Forgive me if I scream "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO". But that is exactly what the girls from the Today Show did today.

In today's high-def tv world and a self conscious society, this "no makeup" trend seems to be catching on with stars like Jessica Simpson posing on the cover of a magazine without makeup.

But just because its starting to become a trend doesn't mean it will catch on too much. Most women feel naked without a little bit of makeup on while some feel liberated with the thought of not having to wear any.

God Bless ya if you can go au-natural, but to be honest, the thought of going on camera with out makeup terrifies me but I commend the girls from the Today Show for doing it. You could see on some of their faces (Kathie Lee & Hoda) that they were clearly uncomfortable but some of the early morning show were so confident (or they could just not care) Meredith in particular had the attitude of "this is my face, take it or leave it".

What sparked all of this is a few weeks ago, Rosie O'Donnell speculated that Kathie Lee had extensive work done on her face. Kathie Lee, who is friends with Rosie, shot back immediately “Look for scars, baby,” Gifford responded on TODAY. “If you see ’em, then I'll fess up.” Rosie then joined the girls today, sans makeup and apologized for her comments to Kathie.

Makeup artist Mary Kahler to KL&H didn't have much to do today but did note one factor I thought was important:

“Makeup also helps hide the fact that these women don’t get much sleep — they are so busy, not only doing the show but doing so many things afterwards,” Kahler added. “They are constantly on the go and they have to look fresh even though they’re going full-speed ahead every minute.”

Kentucky Derby Fashion: What to Wear
Written by Blythe Brumleve

When the first Saturday in May rolls around, horse racing fans declare a National holiday  in Louisville, Kentucky for the Kentucky Derby.

Being as how my family immigrated to Louisville from Germany in the 1800's, the Kentucky Derby is pretty much religion.

Along with the nostalgia of the horses, food and drinks; the fashion is where most women dedicate their time to.

Whether your going to a bar, a Derby party or attending the Derby itself, your choice of shoes, dress and most importantly the hat all come into play.

So what do you wear if you plan on celebrating the Kentucky Derby?

What Are Jeggings and How Do You Wear Them?
Written by Blythe Brumleve

No longer are jeans that look like Pajama Pants alone!

I'm sure you have heard of leggings and I KNOW you have heard of jeans so it shouldn't come as a shock that the two items are in a sort of "mash-up heaven" right now because "Jeggings" seem to be taking off.

The main problem I have with leggings is that at times I question whether they are appropriate for all places like work but with these "Jeans that Look Like Tights", leggings just became appropriate for places leggings could never work including places like the beach and yes, even work. If you glance at the pairs of pants on the right in the above picture, they look exactly like a pair of jeans.

But how do you wear do you wear these Jeggings and what looks good with them? The following came from Styletips 101 on just that question

Check out my top 5 tips if your planning on heading to a beach this season.

5. The Ocean Is Not a Pool

I know this might sound like a "duh" statement but you would be surprised at the people that go into an ocean, feel something swim by them, freak out and run to shore. Fish, crabs, dolphins and yes sharks swim in the ocean because it is their home! Screaming while your running towards the shore will not prevent animals living in the ocean and sometimes coming into your comfort zone. Sharks terrify anyone, and if your sure you see one, scream like mad hell towards the shore, but for the most part (and despite if the media is having a slow week and decides to run "shark attack" stories) the attacks are extremely rare. If you're only comfortable with the occasional bug or frog, go to a pool.
